I think that's a song for fathers and offspring, mos def. It makes me think of riding in the car with my dad, singing along on the radio.
Good choice, kiddo.
I'm old enough to remember watching the broadcast of Tennessee Ernie Ford lip-sync this on his television show.
And like Mr. Rich observed, a sing-along took place...all the while desparately trying to get the voice reeeeal deep.
Oh yeah, it was not a tape or kinescope...
We really liked his show.
It makes me think of my Uncle Hubert Miller, from Kentucky. He was a coal miner and best friend and playing buddy of Merle Travis (the writer of "Sixteen Tons"), Ike Everly (an amazing guitar player and father of the Everly Brothers), and Mose Rager (a player who was the inspiration of all the above).
