It is hard to be away from one's spouse for an extended period of time but I hope that you find things to fill the time and enjoy yourself.

I can't stand it when I'm away from my boy for 10 *hours*. For me, 10 weeks would be very much like solitary confinement since I don't have friends or hobbies. You, on the other hand, actually have a life so he'll be back before you know it.

In the 6 years we have lived together hubby and I haven't spent one night apart. You have FULL pity party rights. My heart goes out to you. Very jealous you got to hang out with Mr. Doughty!! I am alas only a fan your a lucky girl to be a friend!!!

Ya know what is cool about the above posts???

a) There are couples who miss one another when they are separated.

b) You have friends who commensurate and want to help make that separation a bit easier.

c) If Fraction MUST go, you've got options.

(I'd invite you to hang with us in Cali, but you gotta wait until we move. So, next time Fraction is gone for 10 weeks, you'll have an additional option...we'll bind and etch.)

I'm sure your time in NYC will be limited but I'd love to see if you if you get the chance. Also, I'm gunna poke Matt till he agrees to hang out with me.... Since his time here will be considerably less limited.
