We Rock A MySpace Kind of Love
Just a quick check in as I have a bazillion things to do and HL requires nursing something like 22 hours a day:
- Casanova is the featured comic on MySpace/ComicBooks! Even better? They’ve posted issue #8 FOR FREE and Fraction has written a little intro. Go check it out here. (I can’t figure out how to do the kudos thing. Isn’t it sad that I’m out-smarted by software intended for 14 year olds?)
- Also? Fraction won BEST AUTHOR (MO) in the local alternative weekly’s BEST OF KANSAS CITY issue. How cool is that?! (Thanks to Travis Fox for passing along the news!) Congratulations, baby.
- As long as this is the Fraction Update, I might as well mention that he’s on Twitter and MySpace now.
- When I was a little girl, my two favorite records were Johnny Cash, Live at San Quentin and The Muppets, The Frog Prince. I find myself wanting to sing the Sweetums song to Henry, but I can’t quite remember more than a line or two. Looks like the album’s out of print. Any ideas?
- Lots of deja vu lately. Not quite sure what to make of that. I always assume it means I’m on the right path and now would be a good time to pay attention.
- My old machine (RIP Lady Snowblood) started the death rattle this weekend, so I’ve got a new machine. A desktop this time. It is unnamed, as of yet. As long as we’re hemorrhaging money, Fraction and I decided to get iPhones, too. I blame you, Dan Curtis Johnson.
- OPERA is Fraction’s browser of choice, so I gave it a go for a few days. I’m not diggin’ it, so I’m back on Firefox for the time being. I left Opera installed though. I might have another go at it in a month or two.
- Still haven’t finished thank you notes or ordered birth announcements.
- Uncle Han is going to help me put up a page for HL. It’ll go here.
- Okay, back to work… Two manga adaptations and one sample that has to be written. Argh.
- ETA: $@%$#@%!! Remember the Great Address Book Crash of August 2007? Got Plaxo and all that? Wasn’t supposed to happen again. Well. In the migration to the new machine something went kablooie and now I have double entries for a good 50% of my address book. That would be simple enough EXCEPT that in a good 50% of those cases (read: one quarter of my contact list) I don’t know which address/card is current.
