I have coffeed avec egg. This entry was gently nipping at my brain until I went through with it. It's kind of a challenge to try a new coffee method before you've had any coffee in the morning, but that's a chicken and egg question I'm familiar with. Moreso the egg these days.

In general I proclaim it indistinguishable from percolated coffee, if a bit lighter than I usually brew. The process was novel, and watching the egg settle was a bit of kitchen science fun. But unless I have a hankering for the act of making it I'll stick to my usual egg-free methods.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

Egg coffee's great if you're camping, as an egg's easier to carry than a French press and eggy (read: unexplainably meaty and tasting faintly of sulfur) seems somehow right if you're out a-huntin' and a-fishin'. In the civilized world, though... not so much. Avoiding that route might be wise.

RE: All things coffee: I've been playing with my Tassimo machine more and more, creating some interesting combinations of coffee and coffee-like drinks. That's the machine I demoed at the house.

RE: Foot size: I hate to be the bearer of not so good news, but pregnancy foot expansion pales by comparison to just getting older. As Susan said, "Shit, now I have Barney Rubble feet...with bunions." Gravity sucks.

Oh yeah, a co-worker here testified that her feet went back to normal after baby arrived. It took a bit, but all shrunk down to pre-preggers condition. And KS, her feet were HUGE...like Liter Coke bottles. I was amazed and stared a lot.

//...disgusting.//
>Is it? Because I seem to have a weird fascination with all >things coffee and I’m actually tempted to try this.

I am devoted to my little Bialetti man that waves cheerily at me every morning. So, yes...coffee! and by all means try it if you truly feel you must. I can totally taste the egg and it's just not right.

>It’s the PARTING WITH MY SHOES.

Shit, yes. If this had happened to me in the last ten years, I'd be weeping over so many pairs including a pair of black Prada round toe four inch heels embossed all over with roses. WEEPING.

//Two pregnancies have left me mourning my once a upon a time 5 1/2s. Given my borderline compulsive shoe acquistion, this was the biggest pill to swallow.

Upside, all new shoes …//

Le sigh. Yeah, guilt-free shoe shopping would be sweet. Alas, between the kitchen remodel, the new fence, the new garage, painting the house and setting up the nursery, there's just no shoe budget left.

Maybe when I sell my maternity clothes...

//I’ve heard about this foot getting bigger thing when pregnant… recently and from a coworker. she said that no one told her about it when she was pregnant…//

I'm retaining sooooo much water. I'm really, really hoping most of this is fluid and that part goes back to normal.

//I should send you my hardly/never worn cute too-small shoes now. Though I suspect it’ll be a little while before you need a pair of black patent leather bruno magli pumps. Lord knows I bought them years an years ago and still never really needed them!//

What is this "need" you speak of...?

//oh god. the finns do it too.
egg-cleared coffee. disgusting.//

Is it? Because I seem to have a weird fascination with all things coffee and I'm actually tempted to try this.

//ps. i feel your foot pain. i went from barely a ten to a glorious permanent 11. i fall over less now, though.//

HA! Well, at least there's an upside.

It's not so much the bigger feet part that bothers me, really. (I mean, who's going to notice? Truly.) It's the PARTING WITH MY SHOES. Especially the two pair of gorgeous heels I bought this spring that have barely been worn...
