I'll check the bin of back issues - help me remember, I'm not back at work until Wednesday.

Xanadu!?!
That looks completely fun. Especially since Mr. Lynne is attached to the thing. ELO is a not so secret pleasure - kinda silly lyrics, crack-cocaine-level-addictive hooks, over-produced recordings. What's NOT to love?

I just hope they work on the "shopping with Gene Kelly" sequence a little.

(I am totally signing "I'm Alive" right now)

Hey, how about turning the entrelac piece into a small throw pillow? It almost looks kinda pillowy in the photo.

Ya know, I got a kick out of reading Natty Minx now and again, even if the shoes you talked about would never fit me. Now where are we going to find pictures of your cute friends?

1/8" wool felt? Try using the pusher or catcher blankets designed for an etching press. The felts come in different thicknesses, depending on the source. The felts I use come from Dick Blick, but other press supply outlets carry them, too.

RE: Baby Blanket Squares: How about asking all your crafty kids and knitters to make one or more, then send them to you? Isn’t that what the Amish do or something? Hell, I’d learn to knit for that one. If it was crocheted, Susan would make a bunch...or even re-learn knitting. There are ways...

There's also Babette -- which is crocheted. Do you guys have back issues of Interweave Crochet?

Hmm. According to the Phildar website, Knitting Fever is the US distributor. Off the top of my head, we don't actually carry Phildar yarns, and I don't recall seeing any of their books, at the store. But if it's a pattern or book that's currently available, we should be able to order it for you. Are you looking for something specific?

Blanket-wise, there's an adorable one that's fish. I believe you knit up each fish shape separately, and it has to be seamed together, which is a lot of finishing, but it's so cute, and the knitting part wouldn't be quite so boring. I can't remember what book it's in right now...
