I've never met him, but I did ski with Fee Waybill of The Tubes.

I guess that really doesn't matter or add anything to the Shaun-love discussion, does it?

Well, I do like the way he rides that board. I've always thought that he moves like a super hero. Comic artists should just take freeze frames of his rides and use them as action poses for Spidey and stuff.

That's nice to hear.

(Though, honestly, I find that kid so inspiring - like, tears-in-my-eyes inspiring - that I'm probably going to dismiss anything unpleasant I should hear about him that I haven't witnessed myself.)

I met him once, he came up for a competition at Whiteface when I was working there. He was your typical punk snowboarder too indulged with his own hype to actually make me think highly of him. Of course he was about 17, or he may have been older but looked that young. (I have no idea how old he really is but this was about three years ago).
